Please arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled performance. The main doors open 90 minutes prior to the performance time. The doors to the theater usually open 30 minutes prior to performance time for guests to take their seats.

Concessions are available for all ticketed performances 90 minutes prior to performance time until the performance begins and at intermissions. Bottled water [in plastic bottles] purchased at the Arsht is permitted into the theater. The food and beverage policy varies per event. Please ask the theater staff if food and beverage is permitted in the theater. No outside food or beverage will be allowed into the theaters.

As a courtesy to the performers and other audience members, latecomers will not be seated until an appropriate break in the performance occurs once the curtain goes up.

Please note that certain programs are performed without an intermission and therefore no late seating can be offered.

Late guests may view the program from one of the monitors located throughout the lobby until late seating is permitted.

No refunds or exchanges of tickets will be issued for any latecomers to a performance.

Any items found during and immediately after the performance will be turned in to the House Manager. Unclaimed items will be given to security and/or the Miami-Dade County Police. The Security Office is located in the Ziff Ballet Opera House entrance at N.E. 14th Street and N.E. 2nd Avenue. The telephone number for Security is 786.468.2081.

The Arsht's management reserves the right to deny entry to guests wearing clothing items displaying offensive text and/or images. Guests are also prohibited from being barefooted while walking inside and/or outside the premises. Also any guest with attire that may be perceived by law enforcement or security personnel to be gang attire or gang affiliated may be denied entry.

Subject to applicable local, state, and federal law, weapons and dangerous items are prohibited at the Adrienne Arsht Center.

Guests in possession of a firearm, weapon, or dangerous item will be asked to remove the item from the premises. Where lawful and applicable, guests may secure the item in their private motor vehicle.

• Firearms & ammunition: Handguns, rifles, shotguns, ammunition, and any concealed weapons (including by permit holders).
• Knives: Pocketknives, folding knives, switchblades, utility knives, and blades of any size.
• Cutting/piercing instruments: Box cutters, razor blades, and similar cutting or piercing items.
• Martial arts/impact weapons: Brass knuckles, nunchucks, throwing stars, batons, billy clubs, blackjacks, heavy chains, and similar items.
• Incendiary/explosive devices: Fireworks, flares, explosives, and similar items.
• Chemical irritants: Pepper spray, mace, and chemical irritants.
• Stun devices: Tasers and stun guns.
• Other: Any item determined by management or security to be dangerous or to pose a safety or security risk.

A variety of light food and beverage is available one and a half hour before the show and during intermissions in the theater lobbies.

All audio, visual and audio/visual devices and photography, filming, recording and taping is strictly prohibited. The Arsht reserves the right to deny entry to, or to remove any guest from the premises that refuses to comply with this policy.

Traditional theater etiquette requests that people remain seated during a performance; however, occasionally some shows and performers do encourage audiences to stand and even dance in the aisles. If you need to stand up from time to time due to health issues, we recommend purchasing box seating.

Smoking is not allowed inside the buildings. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas outside.

A ticket is required for every person attending the show, regardless of age. At the discretion of the presenting company (ex: Miami City Ballet, Florida Grand Opera), “lap seat” tickets may be available for children (age 2 and under) that will sit on the lap of their guardian/parent. Tickets are required for every guest to ensure that the audience size remains within the venue's safe occupancy limit and to allow theater management to accurately inform emergency personnel about the number of persons inside the seating area in the event of an emergency or evacuation.

Please check each show’s webpage for age-appropriate advisories and restrictions (if applicable). On occasion, minimum age limits for certain performances are established by presenting artists/companies or governing authorities. Theater management is required to enforce these requirements.

Baby strollers, carriages and car seats must be checked in with the front of house staff. For safety reasons, they may not be brought inside the seating area.

Booster seat cushions are available (at no charge) on request from the ushers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests, regardless of their age, who cause a disruption to the performance, or who disturb other guests, may be asked to leave the seating area.

An Adrienne Arsht Center member is someone who pays an annual fee to obtain different benefits based upon the level of giving — from access to ticket presales to cast meet-and-greets and beyond. Please visit our Memberships & Benefits section of the website.

Subscribers are patrons who have purchased an entire package of performances in a series; often they are granted the same seat for all performances, exclusive exchange privileges, can purchase additional tickets to their package performances prior to the public on-sales, and depending on the series, may receive a discount. Yes; there is no distinction between ticket availability through phone, Web or in-person purchases.

No; Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet and New World Symphony share their performance inventories with the Arsht so that tickets are conveniently available through several purchase paths. On the night of a Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet or New World Symphony performance, the partnering organization’s box office staff is on-site with their will call to assist with non-Arsht transactions.

E-mails are disseminated to a wide range of patrons, and do not indicate membership. Many times e-mails announce a membership presale to incentivize nonmembers to join.

There are service fees when ordering tickets. The same fees occur at all points of purchase.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is a nonprofit 501(c)(3). Our ticket fees help support operation costs, as most ticket revenue belongs to our various presenters and producing companies.

Refunds are not permitted. However, if you are a subscriber you may exchange your ticket for another performance within the same season. Please note your series-specific subscription rules, as restrictions do apply. Non-subscription tickets may be able to be exchanged on a case-by-case basis for a fee. Any exchange must be completed a minimum of 48 hours prior to your performance. For inquiries about exchanges, please call the Adrienne Arsht Center Box Office at 305.949.6722.

Most performances allow for a tax-deductible ticket donation. Before returning your tickets, please call the Box Office to verify that it is feasible for the performance in question.

No. All tickets are nonrefundable.

Yes, in any amount requested. Gift certificates do not expire and are valid for all the Arsht ticket purchases. Please visit our Gift Certificates page for more information.

Cash, check and all major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) are accepted.

Both the Ziff Ballet House and Knight Concert Hall’s seats are numbered with odd numbers on house left and even numbers on house right. Seats in the center of a section use three-digit contiguous numbers.

Contact the Adrienne Arsht Center Box Office prior to your performance and we can accommodate by changing the name for pick up at will call. A written request is required to complete the name change.

Full-time college and university students are encouraged to register for Arsht Pass, the community discount program. Under this program, discounted tickets are also available for young adults. Occasionally, the Arsht participates in Vettix, Golden Ticket and Culture Shock Miami. Please call the Box Office with questions.

The Arsht reserves the right to refuse admission and reject any ticket that has been issued by another entity that conflicts with a ticket purchased from one of the sources designated above. A patron holding a revoked ticket will not be permitted into the theater unless they purchase a valid ticket.

Infrared assistive-listening devices are available in the lobby of the Ziff Ballet Opera House, the Knight Concert Hall and the Carnival Studio Theater. There is no charge for the use of the headsets.

There is no predetermined time you would need to purchase tickets, but it is strongly recommended that you purchase tickets in advance to allow for adequate preparations.
