1300 Projects

Step into the vibrant world of Miami's burgeoning art scene with 1300 Projects, an exhilarating visual arts series proudly housed within the prestigious Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Audiences can interact with 1300 Projects’ exhibitions when at the Arsht Center for performances and other events, and everyone is invited to participate in free guided exhibition tours, sponsored by American Airlines, every Monday and Saturday at 12 p.m.

Formerly known as Visual Miami, which launched in 2018 with a solo exhibition by iPad artist Sebastian Spreng, 1300 Projects mirrors the evolution of Miami's expanding cultural landscape.

1300 Projects serves as a dynamic platform, curated to spotlight the diverse narratives and innovative expressions of early and midcareer artists rooted in the fabric of Miami-Dade County. The series draws native Floridian and diaspora artists from Coral Gables, emerging neighborhoods such as Little River and Allapattah and elsewhere. Their work expresses the city's pulsating energy and multicultural influences.

While rooted in Miami talent, 1300 Projects also embraces the global artistic community by featuring international artists and installations. This fusion of local and international perspectives creates a rich tapestry of artistic dialogue, inviting audiences to explore intersections of culture, identity and creativity on a global scale.

Through exhibitions, workshops and interactive experiences, 1300 Projects strives to ignite curiosity, spark conversations and inspire a deeper appreciation for the transformative power of art.
