Brushes With Cancer is a four- to six-month program developed and managed by Twist Out Cancer that pairs visual artists with “Inspirations" — individuals impacted by cancer, including patients, survivors, thrivers, previvors and caregivers — to create meaningful artwork that reflects their cancer journeys.
Pairs connect in person and/or virtually, supported throughout the program by organized meetups, mentors, and dedicated staff. The program culminates in a celebratory art exhibition on September 24 at the Arsht, bringing together participants, their families and the Miami community.
Applications for the 2025-2026 Brushes With Cancer program are now closed. If you're interested in participating as a visual artist or inspiration, please join the waitlist to be the first to know when applications reopen.
