Brushes With Cancer, a program of Twist Out Cancer, pairs artists with people whose lives have been touched by cancer, including previvors, survivors and caregivers. Together, they create powerful works of art inspired by each person’s unique story and journey.

Artists and their inspirations connect in person or virtually, building meaningful relationships through meetups and guidance from mentors, often clinicians, who help foster a supportive community throughout the creative process.

The program culminates in a celebratory art exhibition on September 24, 2026, at the Arsht, bringing together participants, their families and the Miami community.
