Synopsis

Recognized as one of the “top 1% of bassists worldwide” by director Scotty Barnhart of the legendary Count Basie Orchestra, Mikailo Kasha is a dynamic bandleader, versatile sideman and a prodigious voice on both upright and electric bass.

A three-time DownBeat student award winner, Kasha has appeared at major festivals like San Jose Jazz Summerfest, Rochester Jazz Festival, Stanford Jazz Festival and shared the stage with legends such as Nestor Torres, Jessie Jones Jr., Dayna Stephens, among others.

Bringing a bold, cinematic sound to the stage with his modern jazz quartet, Kasha will be performing a suite of original jazz compositions.
