Greg Diamond is a New York-born jazz guitarist and composer, known for his work in Latin and contemporary jazz. Praised for his “deep harmonic language and unerring sense of groove” (Acoustic Guitar), Diamond delivers electrifying performances filled with melodic storytelling, improvisational flair and vibrant rhythms, all rooted in his mixed Colombian and Eastern European Jewish origins. His distinctive brand of Latin-infused contemporary jazz has garnered him critical acclaim across several albums spanning close to two decades.
Diamond has captivated audiences at premier venues such as The Blue Note, Iridium, Joe’s Pub, Zinc Bar, Smalls and Nublu, and at festivals abroad, including the Madrid International Jazz Festival, Barranquijazz, Jazz al Parque, AJAZZGO, Medejazz, Jimmy Glass Jazz Festival, Jazz Ahead Bremen, Nublu Jazz Festival, Plaza Mayor de Salamanca and NCPA in Mumbai. In 2007, Diamond was a semifinalist in the Gibson International Jazz Guitar Competition, hosted by the Montreux Jazz Festival, where he performed before jazz guitar legend George Benson. Diamond has also collaborated with renowned artists such as Seamus Blake, Steve Turre, John Benitez, Hector Martignon and Emilio Solla, among many others.
