Habitación Macbeth es la obra de teatro argentino más premiada desde su estreno en 2021, con más de 400 funciones realizadas y más de 250.000 espectadores ovacionándola en el país y en el exterior. A través del cuerpo de un actor (encontrado en la fosa del teatro), las Brujas Fatídicas representarán la tragedia Habitación Macbeth, para el goce, deleite, y catarsis metafísica de los espectadores. En Macbeth es el espíritu del crimen el que se presenta, atizado por una fuerza sobrenatural (Hécate/Público) que lo reclama y despierta, que lo impele a encarnar y manifestarse, a tomar el poder. Habitación Macbeth violenta la actuación y exalta su metáfora: el actor como habitáculo y zona de encarnaciones. Esa es la apuesta paradojal de esta obra: por un lado, señalar a través de Macbeth y sus circunstancias, cómo la identidad histórica es arrastrada a las compulsiones criminales que rigen al mundo y por otro, hacerlo mediante un procedimiento que restablezca y exalte las facultades sagradas de nuestra identidad poética a través de un cuerpo habitado donde sucede la tragedia.

Habitación Macbeth has been the most awarded Argentine play since its premiere in 2021, with over 400 performances and more than 250,000 spectators applauding it locally and internationally. Through the body of an actor (found in the theater’s pit), the Fateful Witches will stage the tragedy Macbeth’s Room for the audience’s pleasure, delight and metaphysical catharsis. In Macbeth, it is the spirit of crime that emerges, stirred by a supernatural force (Hecate/Audience) that calls to it and awakens it—driving it to take form, manifest and seize power. Macbeth’s Room disrupts acting while elevating its metaphor: the actor as a vessel and a space of embodiment. That is the paradox at the heart of this work: On one hand, through Macbeth and his circumstances, it reveals how historical identity is drawn into the criminal compulsions that govern the world. On the other, it does so through a theatrical process that restores and exalts the sacred faculties of our poetic identity—through an inhabited body in which the tragedy unfolds.
