Taking inspiration from 1970s Nigerian big bands, Diaspora Vibe Afrobeat Allstars were created by Gordon Duane Myers, a multi-instrumentalist and producer, and Rosie Gordon-Wallace, founder of Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator. This initiative kept local musicians employed during the pandemic, and began with concerts at the Garner Foundation in downtown Miami. The band are a multicultural explosion, reflecting Miami’s diverse 21st century landscape. Join us for a night of world music infused with funk, soul and jazz!
