Adrienne Arsht Center Trust AND FOUNDATION Appoint New Board Members
Miami, FL – November 2025 – The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) announces the appointment of new board members to the Adrienne Arsht Center Trust (AACT) Board of Directors: Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez, appointed by the Miami-Dade County Legislative Delegation; Miguel A. “Mike” Ruiz, appointed by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez; Raquel “Rocky” Egusquiza, Susie Krajsa and Andrew Whyte, appointed by Adrienne Arsht Center Trust. In addition, the Adrienne Arsht Center Foundation has appointed Rodney Adkins to its Board of Directors.
Raquel “Rocky” Egusquiza is executive director of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation. Prior to this, Egusquiza served as the executive director of the Miami Marlins Foundation as well as the Marlins’ Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She was a founder of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility Corporate Executive Forum, the PRO Sports Assembly and the Maestros Foundation, established in honor of her mother—a former public school educator—to help Latinos pursuing careers in education. Her passion for Latin culture is visible through her past service and advocacy as a member of the board of the Smithsonian Latino Center, and the Kennedy Center Latino Advisory Board. She currently serves on the boards of Meals on Wheels America, the Florida Education Foundation, South Florida for Progress Foundation, and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Egusquiza earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Miami and an associate’s degree from Miami-Dade College. She has received continuing education certificates from Harvard Business School and the University of California at Los Angeles.
Susie Krajsa is president of Broadway Across America (BAA). In this capacity, she oversees BAA's presenting business, working with 11 regional offices that, in turn, manage the network of over 45 markets where BAA has a presence. Ms. Krajsa has been part of the BAA team for over 30 years. During her career, she has supervised teams that have presented more than 750 weeks of touring Broadway, resulting in half a billion dollars in sales, and 10 million customers. She directly supervises the presenting relationships in the Florida markets for Broadway Across America, including Broadway in Miami at the Arsht. Additionally, she is an active member of The Broadway League, where she sits on the Board of Governors, the Audience Engagement Committee (serving as co-chair), the Biennial Planning Committee, the Business Development Committee and the Intra-Industry Committee. She has also been the recipient of the prestigious Samuel J. L’Hommedieu Outstanding Achievement in Presenter Management Award.
Ana Maria Rodriguez is a proud Miami native and serves as State Senator for Florida’s 40th District, which includes portions of Miami-Dade County and all of Monroe County. She was first elected in November of 2020. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives’ 105th District from 2018 to 2020. As a legislator, Ana Maria has worked on many issues important to improving the quality of life for all South Floridians. She currently is the Chair of the Senate’s Environment and Natural Resources committee. Additionally, she serves as Chairwoman of the Miami-Dade County Legislative Delegation.
Miguel A. “Mike” Ruiz is a seasoned business development executive with over 35 years of leadership experience in financial services, customer relationship management and business process outsourcing. A solutions-driven strategist, he has helped organizations across diverse industries increase revenue, enhance receivables performance and strengthen customer engagement. A graduate of Florida International University with a bachelor's degree in political science, Mike remains deeply involved in South Florida’s civic and cultural community, reflecting his commitment and passion for engagement and the arts.
Andrew Whyte is the Vice President of Statar Capital, a global investment fund managing more than $2.5 billion from its headquarters in Miami. He has more than 15 years of experience working in an expansive range of business functions across multiple industries. Andrew is responsible for managing the fund’s investor base and private investments. Andrew began his career in 2007 at Harbert Management Corporation as a full-time research and trading assistant both during college and upon graduation. In 2011, Andrew was hired by Jefferies Group where he reported directly to the COO and worked cross-functionally and externally to define, develop and implement new business initiatives. Since 2015, Andrew has led global startups as a founder, investor, and operating consultant. He currently sits on the board of a Series-A healthtech startup that is solving for better dementia care. Andrew graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 2008, earning a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business.
Rodney Adkins is chairman of Avnet, Inc., a position he has held since 2018. Avnet is one of the world’s largest distributors of electronic components and technology solutions. He also serves as a partner of 3RAM Group LLC, a privately held company that specializes in capital investments, business consulting services and property management. Previously, Adkins served as senior vice president of IBM, holding that position from 2007 to 2014. In his more than 33-year career with IBM, Adkins held several operational and executive management roles spanning strategy, technology, systems, and supply chain. Adkins was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in 2005, one of the highest honors in the engineering profession. He was inducted into the Miami Jackson High School Hall of Fame in 2018, the Miami Dade County Public Schools Alumni Hall of Fame in 2022, and the Georgia Tech Engineering Hall of Fame in 2024. The Wall Street Journal named Adkins among the top 100 most influential and effective corporate directors in 2025. He has been awarded honorary doctoral degrees from Georgia Tech and the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Adkins serves on the board of directors for United Parcel Service (UPS), WW Grainger, and Avnet. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council and a trustee of the Georgia Institute of Technology and Rollins College. Adkins also serves on the Overtown Youth Center Board, and the Community-Police Relations Foundation Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in physics from Rollins College.
