Thank you for your interest in applying to be considered for outstanding achievement and representing Miami-Dade County as a national finalist at the Jimmy Awards.

Please carefully read the information below and submit a completed form.

The deadline to apply for Lead Actor/Actress was Friday, December 12, 2025, and is now closed.

Applications for theater design, tech, stage management and student reporter will be accepted until Monday, April 6, 2026.

To complete the application, please upload all requested materials. A list of supporting materials can be found here.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION MATERIALS

Please upload one file per item. File names should include your first and last name, school name and a descriptive title (e.g., Jane_Smith_Miami_High School_Resume.pdf). Please upload your photo as a JPEG and your résumé, letters and/or portfolio as a pdf.

 

Please upload a supporting video to YouTube and mark as “unlisted.” Video titles should include your first and last names, school name and song title (e.g., Jane_Smith_Miami High School - 'Santa Fe').

 

Here is an example of required videos for award submissions:

 

- Lead Actor / Actress: Solo vocal performance singing a song from the list of shows approved by The Jimmys (in an audition setting, not onstage)

- Stage Management: Video footage of you calling the show

- Theater Design: Video of you/your team presenting your portfolio

- Theater Tech: Video of you/your team presenting your portfolio

- Student Reporter: Social media highlight reel inviting fans to the Jimmy Awards
