Message From Co-Founders and Producers Marion and Attila Glatz

Happy new year! Whether you have made this celebration part of your holiday traditions in the past or are joining us for the very first time, we are thrilled to welcome you to Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert.

For three decades, it has been our pleasure to introduce some of the finest European artists to audiences in North America. Experts in Viennese music, these conductors, singers and dancers have traveled a great distance to celebrate with you today, and to greet the new year with a communal spirit of hope and optimism.

Looking back at the events of the past year, both at home and overseas, it would be simple to conclude that we live in a society that is more fractured than ever. But the cultural exchange on display in this theatre today tells a different story. As we face uncertainties in the new year, we can find solace in the unwavering power of the arts to build cultural bridges by transcending division and discord. Each year during this cherished celebration, timeless music and dance reminds us of the values we hold dearest to our hearts: tradition, gratitude, joy and music's power to bring communities together. We cannot thank you enough for waltzing with us into a bright new year.

Message From Alexander Van der Bellen, Federal President of the Republic of Austria

Music has a unique power to unite us across distances, cultures and generations. It transcends borders, reminding us that traditions, like those celebrated in Salute to Vienna New Year's Concert, are not bound to a single place. They live on through the joy they bring to people everywhere, becoming a part of our shared human experience. It is my pleasure to once again extend a warm welcome to this treasured tradition that continues to bring the elegance and joy of Vienna’s Neujahrskonzert to North America. May Salute to Vienna New Year's Concert continue to bring joy and harmony for many years to come.

Alexander Van der Bellen
