• Are interns required to have arts experience?

  No prior experience is required. You must have a high school diploma or an equivalent to apply. Arsht mentors will train anyone interested in a career in arts management, marketing, IT, accounting and entertainment law.

• Are cover letters necessary?

  They are not required but preferred.

• What happens after the application process closes?

  Candidates will be contacted between five and 10 business days for a preliminary interview with the Internship Program Team. Finalists will then be invited for a final round of interviews with a mentor within their specialized department.

• Are recommendation letters needed?

  Nominated interns will need to provide three professional references. After the interns are screened, they are onboarded with the Arsht Center team.

• Are internships paid?

  Yes, interns are paid $15 per hour, up to 24 hours per week.

• Can internships be taken for credit?

  Yes, and you can still be paid $15 per hour, as well.

• What is the work schedule like?

  Each intern is required to work in person 24 hours per week and be available to work a few evenings and weekends. At this time, there are no remote opportunities for interns.

  Interns can create their schedules with their mentors. However, all interns need to be available every Wednesday during business hours to attend our specialized, interdepartmental Arsht 101 Workshops.

• What are Arsht 101 Workshops?

  Each intern will get a glimpse at how other departments work, will participate in Résumé Reboot and Bio Boot Camp so they leave this internship job-ready.

• What happens after the internship program ends?

  We are currently building an intern alumni program that will provide networking opportunities and further mentorship.

• Do Arsht interns receive a certificate of completion?

  Yes.

• Are there any opportunities to continue working for the Arsht Center?

  Yes. These opportunities vary based on the current need and job openings.

• Could Arsht interns reapply for the same position next year?

  No.

• What jobs have Arsht internship graduates gotten throughout the years?

  Internship alumni have been hired by our IT, Foundations Relations, Production, Box Office, Marketing and Finance departments.
