Black Founders Demo Day

Black and Brown founders from across the country are invited to present at the inaugural Black Founders Demo Day, a two-day celebration designed to showcase, inspire and invest in Black and Brown wealth creation.

The event has rallied support from nationally recognized brands and business leaders in tech, venture capital and entertainment. Black Founders Demo Day will take place in Miami, with breakout sessions and pre-events. The event is being hosted by Plain Sight, a platform for making connections at events and shared spaces. The 16 selected companies will receive $3,000 for travel, accommodations and planning. They also will receive other prizes, invaluable feedback and potential investments from a panel of active venture-capital investors. Companies may also opt in to raising capital in real time from anyone in attendance at this jam-packed event via Wefunder, an equity crowdfunding platform and sponsor of the event. Attendees will also receive exclusive deals and access to activations from brands such as Inc., Braze, Morrison Foerster and Brex. The event will conclude with entertainment and networking.

Plain Sight takes the work out of networking. Individuals can find upcoming networking events, remote spaces to work, and new connections based on shared interests. Events and spaces can promote their brand, sell tickets or day passes online, and create meaningful interactions between their members and guests.
