The Heritage Project was created with a commitment to promote social equality and amplify Black voices. The Arsht Center celebrates Black artists in our community through the Heritage Project’s salon series, annual festival and other special events throughout the season.

Caribbean Music, Influence and Culture

In anticipation of Miami's extremely popular Carnival weekend, The Heritage Project season kicks off with an in depth, in person look at Caribbean music, influence and culture. Tickets will be available on September 8.

Heritage Fest 2023: Black Resistance

This free community event was designed to spotlight, celebrate and amplify African Diaspora artists in our community. Join us for an afternoon of free, fun-filled activities for the entire family. Enjoy performances by local performance and visual artists, check out the vendor marketplace featuring products and services by Black creatives and entrepreneurs, and jam to the beats pumping from the dance floor. Tickets will be available on January 3.

Words of Freedom: A Tribute to Poetry Month

This discussion will focus on the spoken and written word. We will hear from local poets, writers and educators as they discuss their perspectives on freedom. Tickets will be available on March 6.

Juneteenth Juke Joint
