Hector Berlioz Roman Carnival Overture
Gabriela Montero Piano Concerto No. 1, “Latin”
Ludwig van Beethoven Symphony No. 5

Conductor Xian Zhang and New World Symphony present beloved works in a one-night-only event at the Arsht Center.

Ludwig van Beethoven launches one of the most powerful yet sublime symphonic experiences with just four notes — easily the most recognized melody in classical music. Fate comes knocking in an unrelenting motif that pulses through each movement and culminates in a brassy, triumphant finale. Gabriela Montero — phenom of the piano — makes her anticipated return, this time performing her own Latin Concerto. NWS Conducting Fellow Chad Goodman sets the celebratory spirit with Hector Berlioz’s marvelously crafted Roman Carnival Overture.
