2021 Grammy winner Ledisi is a 13-time Grammy-nominated powerhouse vocalist with a career spanning almost two decades. Since arriving on the scene in the late 1990s, she's garnered three Soul Train Music awards, an NAACP Theater Award and six NAACP Image Award nominations. Most recently, Ledisi received two L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Award nominations, including one for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Ledisi Sings Nina is a beautiful mixture of classical, jazz and R&B sounds with a riveting narrative of a musical bond between artists from different eras. Ledisi returns to her jazz roots while honoring one of her greatest inspirations, Nina Simone, the brilliant and celebrated American singer, songwriter, musician, arranger and Civil Rights activist.

Ledisi

Ledisi is a 12-time Grammy-nominated vocal powerhouse who has wowed fans ever since she arrived on the Bay Area music scene. Over the past 20 years, she has earned a place in the pantheon of the best soul singers of her generation. Ledisi is a favorite of the Obamas and has performed nine times at the White House. Her fans include icons, legends and chart-toppers such as Patti LaBelle, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder. She has headlined two national sold-out tours, performed alongside Richie Sambora, Dave Matthews, Kelly Clarkson, Jill Scott, Maxwell and Herbie Hancock. Most recently, she recorded vocals for a project featuring the late Miles Davis. In 2015, she portrayed Mahalia Jackson in the Oscar-winning movie Selma and had a notable performance in Gabourey Sidibe’s Shatterbox Anthology film The Tale of Four. In 2017, Ledisi released the studio album Let Love Rule, which features John Legend, Kirk Franklin and B.J. the Chicago Kid, among others. The album received three Grammy nominations for Best R&B Album, Best R&B Performance and Best Traditional R&B Performance categories. Ledisi is also an author, playwright, film producer and CEO of her own record label, Chinweya Entertainment, from which she will launch several projects in the near future.
