José Luis de la Paz is an award-winning guitarist who has been recognized for practicing the three disciplines of flamenco: guitar for dance, solo guitar and composing. De la Paz is known for his work with Cristina Hoyos, Siudy Garrido, Jose Mercé, Concha Buika, Belén Maya and the Des Moines Symphony, among others. His original compositions range from the most traditional to the most experimental forms of flamenco.

De la Paz’s new album, Introspective, was created during the pandemic. It reflects the guitarist’s vision of this new “reality”: empty theaters, face masks, hand sanitizers and weeks of confinement.

In concert, de la Paz will be joined by Cuban jazz singer Gema Corredera and mesmerizing flamenco dancer and choreographer Siudy Garrido, along with a handful of virtuoso musicians. The Introspective concert will be a one-of-a-kind musical experience.
