On his international Celebremos Tour, José Luis Rodríguez, better known as El Puma, performs an array of ballads and pop songs that have brought joy to many people throughout the singer’s 55-year career. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

The Ailey company has performed for an estimated 25 million people at theaters in 48 states and 71 countries on six continents, as well as for millions more through television broadcasts, film screenings and online platforms. In 2008, a U.S. Congressional resolution designated the company as “a vital American cultural ambassador to the world” that celebrates the uniqueness of the African American cultural experience and the preservation and enrichment of the American modern dance heritage.


Chucho Valdés: Irakere 50

Artistry & Soul: An Evening with Gregory Porter

February 23, 2024

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Gregory Porter began singing in small jazz clubs in San Diego and New York City, where his career began to ascend with the release of his first two albums. In 2013, he released his Blue Note debut Liquid Spirit which grew into a global phenomenon, selling more than a million albums and earning Porter his first GRAMMY Award. His 2016 follow-up Take Me To The Alley won Porter his second GRAMMY and firmly established him as his generation’s most soulful jazz singer-songwriter. In 2017, Porter released the heartfelt tribute album Nat King Cole & Me and in 2020 returned to his original songwriting on ALL RISE.


Ballet Nacional de España

The Ballet Nacional de España (BNE), directed by Rubén Olmo since September 2019, is a public company that has set the benchmark of Spanish dance ever since it was founded. The purpose of the BNE is to preserve, spread and convey Spain’s rich choreographic heritage, including its diverse styles and traditions, which include academic, stylised, folklore, bolera and flamenco. It also works to attract new audiences and boost its national and international scope while being fully independent artistically and creatively.

Stars of Flamenco

Stars of Flamenco is an all-male, intergenerational production featuring Manuel Liñán, Alfonso de Losa and El Yiyo. Known as mavericks of the flamenco world, Linan, who most recently presented VIVA at the Arsht Center to critical acclaim in 2022, and Llosa, winner of the prestigious Festival de Jerez Critic’s Choice Award, join forces to project all of flamenco’s history onto their bodies for this piece. They will be joined by 27-year-old rising star Miguel Fernández Ribas, known as El Yiyo, a radical exponent of flamenco noted for his charisma and authenticity. Accompanying them are exceptional musicians headed by Sandra Carrasco, one of the most special voices in new flamenco.

Peter Pan

This high-flying musical has been delighting audiences of all ages for close to 70 years and is now being brought back to life in a new adaptation by celebrated playwright Larissa FastHorse and directed by Emmy Award-winner Lonny Price. The adventure begins when PETER PAN and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinker Bell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night. With a sprinkle of pixie dust and a few happy thoughts, the children are taken on a magical journey they will never forget. This extraordinary musical full of excitement and adventure features iconic and timeless songs including "I'm Flying", "I Gotta Crow", "I Won't Grow Up" and "Neverland".
