CONSTELLATION CULINARY GROUP ANNOUNCES TEATRO RESTAURANT AT THE ADRIENNE ARSHT CENTER, OPENING OCTOBER 20, 2023

“The Show Starts Here”

MIAMI, FL (October 12, 2023)Constellation Culinary Group, known for providing best-in-class dining experiences for one-of-a-kind cultural centers across the U.S., has announced the opening of Teatro, an immersive dining experience at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County on October 20, 2023.

The restaurant, located on the second floor of the Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House, will be the ultimate dining destination for pre-show meals and celebrations. The striking 2,500-square-foot dining room, designed by Johanna Dilone, creative director of Miami’s prestigious Gilded Group Decor, sets the stage for an immersive dining experience. The restaurant will offer a provocative and avant-garde ambiance and have bold decor in a rich red color palette, a theatrical nod to the red curtain on theater stages.

Teatro creates an immersive vibe, enchanting theatergoers with pre-show dinners, craft cocktails and an expansive selection of wines curated by Teatro’s team of wine enthusiasts. A chef-driven culinary concept, Teatro will serve a New American menu with creative European and Latin influences from executive chef Jose Danger. Chef Danger has been a part of Constellation Culinary Group’s expert team of culinarians for over five years. He holds a BS in restaurant management from Johnson & Wales University and has had the opportunity to work at some of South Florida’s most celebrated restaurants. Teatro’s menu is a collaboration between Chef Danger and Constellation Culinary Group’s corporate executive chef, Aaron Janus, who leads food and beverage across Constellation’s portfolio.

The restaurant will offer a prix-fixe menu, which will include a choice of one appetizer and entrée or one entrée and dessert, along with a tempting lineup of sides and à la carte menu. Appetizer options include Red Carpet Carpaccio, featuring heirloom tomato, mint tahini, toasted grains, Beldi olives and microgreens; Thai Coconut Curry Mussels, PEI mussels with lemongrass coconut broth, Thai herbs and grilled sourdough; Huevos Rotos, house-made kettle chips served with thinly sliced prosciutto and fried egg; Smoked Salmon Dip, a house-smoked salmon spread with salmon roe, capers, shallots and dill served with house-made kettle chips; and Steak Tartare “Big Mac,” chopped black Angus beef with house special sauce, gherkins, shallots, French herbs and sesame airbread.

During dinner hours, guests can also order sides à la carte (this is used without an accent on first mention/check for consistency), including Pile-High Fries, Parmesan herb fries served with ketchup; Crispy Loaded Potato, topped with crème fraîche, aged cheddar, chives and speck; and Shrimp Scampi, jumbo shrimp in a white wine garlic sauce.

For those looking to indulge in something sweet, dessert options include a choice of the Chai Coconut Panna Cotta, served with spiced poached pear compote, green cardamom granola and sea salt; Key Lime Meringue Tart with Florida Key lime custard, fall-spiced cracker crust and burnt Swiss meringue; and assorted seasonal sorbet and ice cream flavors.

Upon entry, guests can lounge at the 12-seat bar, which serves a robust menu of beer, wine by Gerard Bertrand, champagne, specialty coffee drinks and a selection of signature cocktails, including Teatro’s signature Espresso Martini, a flavorful combination of Grey Goose vodka, rich espresso, Cazadores Café and sea salt and the Tea Merchant, a mixture of Dewar’s 12 yr.  Since opening in 2006, the Arsht Center, a 501C3 non-profit organization, has been recognized as a catalyst for billions of dollars in new development in the downtown area, a leader in programming that mirrors South Florida’s diversity, a host venue for historic events and Miami’s hub for arts education.

Each year, we serve more than 60,000 young learners and offer more than 100 culturally diverse and inclusive education programs — many enhanced by the Arsht Center’s relationship with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, local teaching artists and Miami-based arts organizations.

The Arsht Center is also a home stage for three resident companies — Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet and New World Symphony — and a launch pad for local artists to make their mark on the international stage.
