Café at Books & Books

About the Café at Books & Books

We’re your locally-owned, independently-minded café and bookstore in the tradition of all of Mitchell Kaplan’s Books & Books’ locations, and under the direction of James Beard award-winning Chef Allen Susser!

Find us on the Arsht Center campus, inside the landmark Carnival Tower. Our café-style restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting), table service and a full bar. Open to patrons 7 days a week, for lunch and pre-show dining.

We have a passionate commitment to local, fresh ingredients” and our menu features a great choice of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Plus, a fine selection of Books & Books! Manager Katherine Wakefield and her staff will happily share their recommendations for new titles and help you with all your book needs.

Every Monday, from 4:30pm - 8:30pm, the Adrienne Arsht Center, The Market Company and Books & Books join forces to host a weekly Farmers Market on the corner of 13th Street, in front of the Café at Books & Books.

At 6:30pm, we gather to enjoy Chef Allen’s Farm-to-Table Dinner, a 5-course, Vegetarian meal featuring a different theme or region each week. The highly creative menu is inspired by the ingredients sold at the Farmers Market and is served family-style at a shared communal table, under the stars, with live music, surrounded by our local growers. An amazing value at $25 per person, with $14 optional wine pairing. Reservations suggested: 786.405.1745

Lunch n’ Learn on Wednesdays

A weekly, $25 fixed price lunch, presentation & conversation, featuring a special guest speaker each week in a casual, salon-style setting, with limited seating. A special opportunity to lunch, learn and network with speakers and other like-minded participants. Reservations:
