The biggest names in jazz come to the Arsht Center in one amazing season! Showcasing unique and diverse programs, this season explores the entire spectrum of jazz – from timeless classics to modern jazz – highlighting the greatest moments in the evolution of America's greatest musical genre.
Performing a glorious program of holiday big band favorites, the world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and Wynton Marsalis are joined by special guest vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant – the sensational 23-year-old Miami native who won the 2010 Thelonious Monk Competition.
Platinum-selling jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, who earned a Grammy Award this year for “Best Pop Instrumental Album” for his recording Impressions comes to Miami with an unforgettable concert in the incomparable Knight Concert Hall.
The 20-time Grammy winner makes his Arsht Center debut with this new all-star quintet featuring Antonio Sanchez, Chris Potter, Ben Williams and Giulio Carmassi performing award-winning recordings and hits from their highly anticipated 2014 release.
New Orleans’ reigning prince of R&B and soul, Aaron Neville, and its world famous Dirty Dozen Brass Band bring the essence and spirit of the “Big Easy” to Miami on this musical journey through jazz, blues and funk.
Join us for the final Jazz Roots concert of the season in a star-studded celebration of the phenomenal artistry of the Brazilian composer and musician who introduced bossa nova to the world with “The Girl From Ipanema.”
