To celebrate Black History Month, the multi-award winning Count Basie Orchestra performs their timeless classic arrangements, many of which originally featured the legendary Ella Fitzgerald. Joining the orchestra for this special evening is 2008 Grammy Award-winning vocalist Patti Austin.

Knight Foundation; Carl and Toni Randolph Charitable Fund at Dade Community Foundation; Ruth and Richard Shack Family Fund at Dade Community Foundation; and the individual support of William Kleh, Larry Rosen, and Henry Smek. The Jazz Roots education program is also funded in part by The Children’s Trust. The Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.
