The exceptional career of Philippe Entremont began at the age of eighteen when he came to international attention with his great success at New York’s Carnegie Hall playing Jolivet’s piano concerto and Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Since then, he has pursued a top international career as a pianist, and for the last 30 years, on the podium as well.
The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), now in its 23rd season, is the cultural flagship of Miami, and one of the leading cultural organizations in South Florida. With 80 professional musicians selected from the finest artists from around the world, MISO, represents the exceptional talent and diversity that mirrors this city’s own international and multicultural richness.
Eduardo Marturet enjoys an active career on three continents. As the Music Director and Conductor of The Miami Symphony Orchestra, he remains deeply involved in the musical life of his native Venezuela and continues to guest conduct actively in Europe. He has made more than 40 CDs that range from a Brahms orchestral cycle to surveys of Latin America's greatest orchestral composers.
