The Malinche is "something" in our collective unconscious that we can't seem to comprehend, something that is hard to interpret. Who are we? Are we bastards? Are we children of betrayal, ambition, gossip? Lover, concubine, slave, maid, mother, woman, native. All attempts to explain the Mexican soul are intimately tied to her. Malinche is our country, and also duality and legacy.

La Malinche es algo que habita en nuestro inconsciente colectivo que no acabamos de asimilar, algo dificil de interpretar. ¿Quiénes somos? ¿Somos bastardos? ¿Somos hijos de la traición, de la ambición, de habladurías? Amante, concubina, esclava, criada, madre, mujer, indígena. Todos los intentos de explicar el alma mexicana están íntimamente ligados a ella. Malinche es nuestro país, y también nuestra dualidad y nuestro legado.
