Al Jarreau and David Sanborn

Jazz Legends have a long history from the inception of this great American art form… it started in New Orleans with Louis Armstrong, and continued with Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Tonight’s stars carry the torch for a generation of young artists.

Al Jarreau is a seven-time GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, and true vocal legend of American music. Jarreau is making his return appearance on the Arsht Center stage with alto sax star David Sanborn! This six-time GRAMMY and multi-platinum selling legend has appeared with every major artist from James Brown, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, and Al Jarreau, to Billy Joel and Elton John. His soulful, bluesy tone is recognized around the world. Tonight, David Sanborn and Al Jarreau will bring our JAZZ ROOTS audiences to their feet!
