How can I contact the Arsht Center?

You may call the Arsht Center Box Office number at 305.949.6722 for show or ticket related information. The Box Office hours are Mon-Fri 10:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m, Saturday and Sunday noon until curtain time when there is a performance and is also open 2 hours before every performance. 

What happens if the show is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances?

Depending on the show, a refund or ticket exchange may be offered. If so, please contact the Box Office at 305.949.6722.

When should I arrive for the show?

Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled performance. The main doors open one hour prior to the performance time. The doors to the performance spaces usually open 30 minutes prior to performance time for guests to take their seats. 

Concessions are available for all ticketed performances one hour prior to performance time until the performance begins and at intermissions. Bottled water [in plastic bottles] purchased at the Arsht Center is permitted into the theater. The food and beverage policy varies per event. Please ask the theater staff if food and beverage is permitted in the theater. No outside food or beverage will be allowed into the theaters.

As a courtesy to the performers and other audience members, latecomers will not be seated until an appropriate break in the performance occurs once the curtain goes up.

Please note that certain programs are performed without an intermission and therefore no late seating can be offered.

Late guests may view the program from one of the monitors located throughout the lobby until late seating is permitted.

No refunds or exchanges of tickets will be issued for any latecomers to a performance.

Do you have a Lost & Found?

Any items found during and immediately after the performance will be turned in to the House Manager. Unclaimed items will be given to security and/or the Miami-Dade County Police. The Security Office is located in the Ziff Ballet Opera House entrance at N.E. 14th Street and N.E. 2nd Avenue. The telephone number for Security is 786.468.2081.

What if I arrive after the performance starts?

What is the dress code for attending an event?

The Arsht Center's management reserves the right to deny entry to guests wearing clothing items displaying offensive text and/or images. Guests are also prohibited from being barefooted while walking inside and/or outside the premises. Also any guest with attire that may be perceived by law enforcement or security personnel to be gang attire or gang affiliated may be denied entry.

When do the buildings open?

The Box Office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to curtain time Saturday and Sunday when there is a performance. The Box Office is also open two hours before every performance.

Are food and beverage services available and allowed into the theaters?

A variety of light food and beverage is available one hour before the show and during intermissions in the theater lobbies.

Are photography and/or recording devices allowed?

All audio, visual and audio/visual devices and photography, filming, recording and taping is strictly prohibited. The Arsht Center reserves the right to deny entry to, or to remove any guest from the premises that refuses to comply with this policy.

Is standing allowed?

Traditional theater etiquette requests that people remain seated during a performance; however, occasionally some shows and performers do encourage audiences to stand and even dance in the aisles. If you need to stand up from time to time due to health issues, we recommend purchasing box seating.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not allowed inside the buildings. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas outside.

Can show merchandise be purchased?

Merchandise is available for purchase for some productions.

What is your child policy? Is there an age limit for children attending a performance?

Everyone is required to have a ticket regardless of age. Florida Grand Opera does not allow children under the age of 7 to attend and other shows have an age advisory. When applicable, age advisories will be included in a show's performance page description.

TICKETING FAQ

What is a member?

An Arsht Center member is someone who pays an annual fee to obtain different benefits based upon the level of giving from access to ticket presales to cast meet-and-greets and beyond.

What is a subscriber?

Subscribers are patrons who have purchased an entire package of performances in a series; often they are granted the same seat for all performances, exclusive exchange privileges, can purchase additional tickets to their package performances prior to the public on-sales, and depending on the series, may receive a discount.

Are the seats that are available by phone the same that are available online?

Yes; there is no distinction between ticket availability through phone, Web or in-person purchases.

If I ordered tickets through one of the Arsht Center’s partner organizations (Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, New World Symphony, etc.) would you have a record of the purchase?

No; Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet and New World Symphony share their performance inventories with the Arsht Center so that tickets are conveniently available through several purchase paths. On the night of a Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet or New World Symphony performance, the partnering organization’s box office staff is on-site with their will call to assist with non-Arsht transactions.

If I get your e-mails, am I a member?

E-mails are disseminated to a wide range of patrons, and do not indicate membership. Many times e-mails announce a membership presale to incentivize nonmembers to join.

Why am I being charged fees?

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is a nonprofit and registered as a 501(c)(3). Our ticket fees help support the center’s operation costs, given that much of ticket revenue belongs to our various presenters and producing companies.

When will I receive my tickets?

You will receive them via USPS no later than 10 days before your performance. All purchases made within 10 days of the performance will be held at the Box Office for pick up on the day of the performance at will call. Subscription tickets are generally mailed eight weeks prior to your first performance.

Are there service fees when I order tickets? If so, how do I avoid the service fees?

There are service fees when ordering tickets. The same fees that occur at all points of purchase.

The tickets I purchased have not arrived in the mail as I requested. What do I do?

As long as you purchased your tickets through the Arsht Center Box Office you have recourse to have your tickets reprinted. We require written authorization from the primary account holder; once that is received, we will reprint the tickets in question and leave them at the Arsht Center Box Office for pick up on the day of the performance at will call.

Can I exchange my tickets or get a refund if I have a schedule conflict?

Refunds are not permitted. However, if you are a subscriber you may exchange your ticket for another performance within the same season. Please note your series-specific subscription rules, as restrictions do apply. Non-subscription tickets may be able to be exchanged on a case-by-case basis for a fee. Any exchange must be completed a minimum of 48 hours prior to your performance. For inquiries about exchanges, please call the Arsht Center Box Office at 305.949.6722.

I can't attend my performance and it's either too late to exchange my tickets or none of the remaining performances work in my schedule. Since I can't get a refund, what do I do with these tickets?

Most performances allow for a tax-deductible ticket donation. Before returning your tickets, please call the Box Office to verify that it is feasible for the performance in question.

What if I lose my ticket?

As long as you purchased your tickets through the Arsht Center Box Office you have recourse to have your tickets reprinted.

If I didn't like the show can I get a refund?

No. All tickets are nonrefundable.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, in any amount requested. Gift certificates do not expire and are valid for all Arsht Center ticket purchases.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check and all major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) are accepted.

My seats are all even/odd numbered. Is my party seated together?

Both the Ziff Ballet House and Knight Concert Hall’s seats are numbered with two-digit odd numbers on house left and even numbers on house right. Seats in the center of a section use three-digit contiguous numbers.

What do I need to bring to pick up my tickets at the Box Office?

A form of picture identification and the credit card used to purchase will be needed to pick up tickets at will call.

Is there a ticket limit and if so, how can I purchase more than the limit?

Depending on the performance, a ticket limit may be in place. If this is the case, you should contact Group Sales at 786.468.2326.

How can I purchase tickets and have someone else pick them up?

Contact the Arsht Center Box Office prior to your performance and we can accommodate by changing the name for pick up at will call. A written request is required to complete the name change.

What is your Student Rush, Rush or Senior Discount Ticket Policy?

We occasionally offer ‘rush’ discounts on tickets when purchased in person within a set time before a performance on the day-of. This typically applies to seniors 65 and older and students with a current form of ID. Rules for ‘rush’ discounts vary by the performances to which they apply, and are not guaranteed. Please call the Box Office with questions.

Do I get to choose online the seat locations I want?

Yes. Select the Choose My Own Seats option when buying a ticket.

Will my tickets be mailed or held at the Box Office?

You have the option to have them mailed or picked up at the Box Office.

What is your policy on tickets sold through unauthorized brokers?

The Arsht Center reserves the right to refuse admission and reject any ticket that has been issued by another entity that conflicts with a ticket purchased from one of the sources designated above. A patron holding a revoked ticket will not be permitted into the theater unless they purchase a valid ticket.

The Box Office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to curtain time Saturday and Sunday when there is a performance. The Box Office is also open two hours before every performance.

ACCESSIBILITY

Do you sell accessible seating? Where are they located? Can I get a companion seat with my accessible seat?

Yes, accessible seats may be purchased at all price levels either online, over the phone or in person at the Arsht Center Box Office.

What provisions are there for people with disabilities?

We are eager to accommodate all of your accessibility needs. If you require a special accommodation that you do not see available online please contact the Arsht Center Box Office at 305.949.6722 and we will make efforts to make accommodations for you.

Does the Center offer ASL, audio-described or transliterated performances?

Some presenters provide American Sign Language (ASL); Open Caption audio translation with description; or projected English/Spanish subtitles. Please check with the Box Office in advance to determine which performances provide translation services.

Does the Arsht Center have a TTY number?

Yes. The number is 786.468.2011.

Is the Arsht Center accessible to persons with disabilities?

Yes. If you have self-parked there is no problem accessing the front door with a wheelchair, and valet parking is right in front of the doors. We have elevators and there are doors near accessible seating to better navigate in the theater.

Do the Knight Concert Hall and Ziff Ballet Opera House each have an elevator?

Yes.

Does the Arsht Center have Assisted-Listening Devices?

Infrared assistive-listening devices are available in the lobby of the Ziff Ballet Opera House, the Knight Concert Hall and the Carnival Studio Theater. There is no charge for the use of the headsets.

How soon before the performance should I purchase accessible seating?

There is no predetermined time you would need to purchase tickets, but it is strongly recommended that you purchase such tickets in advance to allow for adequate preparations.

Can I get a companion seat with my accessible seat?

Yes; all accessible seats can be purchased with at least one companion seat.
