One of Brazil’s most iconic musicians and two-time Grammy® Award winner, Caetano Veloso, returns to the Arsht Center with his three sons for a concert in celebration of their new album, Ofertório. With sublimely blended vocals and charming instrumental talent, Veloso and his sons bridge traditional Brazilian music with pop, psychedelic rock, and folk influences.
For over 35 years, Caetano Veloso has been a major musical, social and cultural force in Brazil, and an influential figure to musicians all over the world. Described as “a master in a league of his own” (The Times - UK), Caetano's collaboration with his three sons -- Moreno, Zeca, and Tom -- reveals and celebrates the innate and very intimate musical relationship around their extraordinary lineage of songwriting.
The concert will feature many of family's favorite songs like "Um Canto de Afoxé Para o Bloco do Ilê" and "O Leãozinho” as well as new music. Caetano plays guitar while Moreno, Zeca, and Tom take turns on various instruments including cello, bass, and keyboard -- all singing together in etherial harmony.
