Siempre Flamenco's Festival de Cante Flamenco returns to the Arsht Center for a mesmerizing and passionate production featuring Spain's brightest stars. This festival, a celebration of cante, brings South Florida audiences a unique opportunity to enjoy an art form that is seldom heard outside of Spain. The deep emotions that emanate from flamenco song unite with the intricate fury of dance in a unique performance that will exhilarate audiences with an up-close experience in the Carnival Studio Theater.
The 11th anniversary edition of the festival pays homage to the city of Jerez de la Frontera, considered to be the birthplace of flamenco; featuring three great singers. Veteran singer Nano de Jerez, along with rising young artists Sara Salado and Miguel Lavi, are set to bring the authentic flavor of Jerez to Miami with guest dancer Raul Ortega making his Miami debut! Featured guitarist Jose Luis de la Paz, renowned for his virtuosity in concert performances throughout the world, will return to the festival for the third time while guitarist Angel Ruiz of Cordoba joins the festival for the very first time! Siempre Flamenco's founding members Paco and Celia Fonta will join the ensemble with their guitar and dance respectively and complete this terrific lineup of flamenco artists.
