Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, under the direction of Chef Allen Susser The Café at Books & Books features a café-style restaurant with delightful outdoor seating, table service, a specialty coffee bar and a full beer, wine and liquor bar.

ArtsTalk2025: A Community Conversation

9:30am-11am, Carnival Studio Theater
Cultural Community Conversation: Your Vision for Miami. Join us for a live community conversation focused on the theme “Culture in Miami in the Next 10 Years.” Our community’s artistic visionaries will kick off the conversation followed by an interactive session where the entire community – including leaders of Miami’s arts organizations, local artists, dignitaries and the general public – are invited to a community brainstorm about the future of Miami’s cultural landscape.

Farmers Market

With the expert guidance of The Market Company, the Adrienne Arsht Center Farmers Market features Florida-grown produce and prepared food. Purchase fresh food from stands overflowing with local harvest – seasonal fruits, vegetables, meats, prepared food and beverages.

BRAVA! open for dine-in service

10am-3pm, Ziff Ballet Opera House 2nd Floor
Conveniently located on the second floor of the Ziff Ballet Opera House, BRAVA! serves a Farm-to-Table inspired fine-dining menu designed by Chef Hector Torres of Spectra, consisting mostly of locally sourced ingredients.

Mini Comic Book Convention and Cosplay Contest Sponsored by UltraCon of South Florida
10am-5pm, Peacock Foundation Studio

The Mini Comic Book Convention & Cosplay Contest is presented in partnership with UltraCon of South Florida. This is a multi-genre entertainment and comic event. There will be a Cosplay Contest at 3PM with a cash prize! The Cosplay Contest will take place on the Thompson Plaza and is steampunk, pirate, renaissance and fantasy themed – creativity is welcome!

Join us for a morning of delightful sounds and movement with "behind-the-scenes" workshops presented by Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, New World Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra Miami!

  • 11:30am - Cleveland Orchestra Miami
    Cleveland Orchestra Miami celebrates the launch of its 10th anniversary season with a live chamber music performance featuring Cleveland Orchestra musicians. Jeffrey Zehngut, violin, Stanley Konopka, assistant principal viola, and Charles Bernard, assistant principal cello, will take the stage for an intimate chamber music presentation.

  • 12:30pm - New World Symphony
    Go behind the scenes of the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy, as Sam Hyken, NWS alumnus and Co-Founder / Artistic Director of Miami’s Nu Deco Ensemble, unveils “a week in the life of a New World Symphony Fellow.” Detailing NWS’ unique fellowship program, Hyken will discuss the curriculum and activities that make the program one of the most sought-after educational experiences in the world of classical music. Follow his progression from an NWS Fellow to his current role as a professional performer, producer, composer, and co-founder of one of Miami’s most dynamic new cultural institutions. A Q&A will follow the presentation.

  • 1:30pm - Florida Grand Opera
    Florida Grand Opera will create a family fun activity that will highlight the upcoming 2015-16 season with an activity that not only entertains, but educates as well the opera genre and what it takes to bring this art form to the Arsht Center stage!

  • 2:30pm - Miami City Ballet
    Put on your dancing shoes and join Miami City Ballet for a master class and discussion about the art form and the upcoming 30th Anniversary Season. Miami City Ballet School faculty member Rafi Maldonado-Lopez will lead a fun, dynamic contemporary dance class for all levels, followed by the Q&A.

Arsht Walking Tours

12pm & 2:30pm, Ziff Ballet Opera House Lobby

Lasting approximately an hour, tour highlights include Insider information about the Arsht's architecture and history, a walk through the theaters, including glimpses into private meeting rooms and lounges not open to the public, dramatic views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline, the magnificent Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places site-specific installations created by renowned artists. The Arsht Walking Tours are sponsored by American Airlines.

We Love Broadway: Face Painting and Coloring
12pm-4pm, Ziff Ballet Opera House Lobby

The whole family can enjoy face painting, coloring and crafts in celebration of the Arsht Center and Broadway Across America’s 10th season of Broadway in Miami!

Sound Lab: Knight Concert Hall Acoustic Experience

1:30pm & 4pm, Knight Concert Hall

The one-hour sensory workshops will be led by one of the nationally-recognized architectural acousticians who designed Knight Concert Hall’s sound system. The workshops will move throughout the hall to explore its adjustable acoustical canopy, curtains and banners, as well as an adjoining acoustics control chamber and chamber doors. RSVP at

In “Hecho a Mano: Creativity in Exile,” four Cuban artists in Miami tell their stories. Miami’s first black-owned record label makes history in “Deep City: The Birth of the Miami Sound.” “Ayikodans Rise” chronicles Haiti’s premiere dance company, its bond with the Arsht Center and their shared commitment to Haiti.
