The Arsht Center breaks from the traditional role of a performing arts center to bridge generations, languages and incomes, uniting our diverse community through the power of the performing arts. Foundations and government grant-making programs that give to the Arsht Center help us deliver:
Knight Masterworks series of classical music and dance, Jazz Roots, Broadway in Miami, Flamenco Festival Miami, Live at Knight and Theater Up Close, among other annual signature series, bring works that would otherwise not be seen in Miami.
We reach 26,000 Miami-Dade County Public Schools students a year through such efforts as AileyCamp Miami summer dance camp, the live theater program Learning Through the Arts, arts teachers residencies called Accessing the Arts that target students with disabilities, and Jazz Roots Education’s behind-the-scenes experiences for music students in high schools.
Free Gospel Sundays and Family Fest, among other programs, deliver the arts and community gatherings to underserved audiences for free.
Commissions of artists who debut their works first for Miami audiences.
Access for All
Accessibility services, such as Sign Language Interpreters, Open Captioning, Audio Description and Touch Tours, ensure everybody in our community is engaged with the arts.
A Vibrant Neighborhood
The Arsht Center’s visionary master plan for its downtown surroundings calls for walkable streets, more green spaces, mixed-density buildings and connectivity to Overtown, Museum Park and Wynwood.
The Arsht Center thanks its foundation and government supporters for their leadership grants as we work together to create a new performing arts center for the ages.
